Pamela Sanchez is the author of “The Three Levels of Self-Awareness”. The book is a guide to how we can develop better habits, routines, and routines of our own. It’s a great title for this book, she’s a great writer, and I am so excited to read it.
First of all, what an incredibly wonderful title. And secondly, she is so right. What is self-awareness? It’s a pretty simple concept that just means we have some kind of awareness of our own thoughts, feelings and actions. And we can apply that awareness to our habits, routines, routines of our own. And that is how we can break habits, routines, and routines of ourselves.
It is like what happens when we forget we’re in a time loop because we are not aware of our own habits, routines, routines of our own. And that is the big takeaway for me: Self awareness.
Now that I’ve made that point, it’s pretty clear that self awareness is not something that is easily taught. I know it takes years and years of practice to get to a state where you can actually use the word in a sentence, but it does sound easy enough to put into practice.
Like any other skill, we get practice. We learn by making mistakes. Even if we think we know all the steps to how we can become self-aware, there are always going to be steps that we have to take, that we are going to forget, and that we have to learn again. And I think it is just as important to make mistakes as to make good ones.
In my case, I used a word of my own creation. I used it because I thought it sounded cool. I’m pretty sure it will be used many thousands of times in this series, so it’s probably best to just let it do its thing.
The word “self-aware” had been used in this series before. But then there was this other word that I thought sounded cool, and it would be a good addition to the series. So there you go.
Self-aware is probably the biggest word we’ve used in this series, and it’s a great one. This is the part where I’m going to make a couple of mistakes, and I would like to apologize in advance.
The first thing I want to do is apologize for using the word “self” in the last sentence. The reason I used the word “self” there is because it was a word that came from an earlier series. I didn’t really think about using it in this context, so I’m sorry. I hope this helps.
I don’t want to take away from the fact that the word self was used in a previous series for a very different purpose. I just really wanted to emphasize that I don’t think the word self was ever used in this context for this series.
