This is the first ever recipe that I created for this week’s edition of Recipes on the Side. I wanted to share some of my favorite summer foods with you because I am always on the lookout for more of them, and when I come across a recipe that I think is amazing, I want to share it with the world.
This week’s recipe was very simple. I made a batch of corn and then a batch of corn grits (aka grits) because I couldn’t find any other way to make corn grits. When you boil the water on top of the stove with the corn, the water evaporates and your corn grits are ready to eat.
Although I used the same method of making corn grits, I have to say, I am not a fan of corn. I feel there is too much of it in the water that is boiling for grits. However, I am going to give this recipe a try because it is very easy and it is great for summer. The easiest way to make corn grits is to boil the water on top of the stove.
I have to admit, I hadn’t thought of using water on the stove for corn grits until I saw this recipe. It was simple enough that I could just add water to the corn and it would be ready to eat. It really is a satisfying method that results in corn grits that are not overly sweet. If you do not have a water source, you can always use the water you have to boil the grits on top of the stove.
I like that there is no need to use cornflour to make grits. Corn grits are so easy to make that they are not even that hard to do. The only part of making grits that I would suggest is the first step, which is to make sure you have the grits ready to use. I like to keep a half-cup or more of grits in the fridge for use when I’m not in a hurry.
I would be lying if I said I don’t like corn grits, but for the love of God, don’t use corn grits. Corn grits are so easy to make that they are not even that hard to do. The only part of making grits that I would suggest is the first step, which is to make sure you have the grits ready to use.
If you’re like me, you’ve got a lot of corn grits sitting around collecting dust. They’re not bad, but they’re not great either. Corn grits may be the only grits you’ll want to use, but they’re pretty easy to make if you have a few ingredients and a mixer.
Corn grits are also the least-bad corn grits around to use, but they probably aren’t the most effective as they are much harder to chop. The grits are also a bit more dense and a bit easier to spread out, but its still a lot of work to cook a whole side of corn grits. They can be a lot of work as you have to keep the griddle hot, turn the corn grits, and wait for them to cook.
Corn grits are usually a bit more difficult to cook than corn on the cob, and they need to be pre-cooked to begin with. I’ve always thought of grits as being like a potato chip for people who aren’t interested in eating real chips. They are the “go to” when you need something easy. They are a great side of beans on a hamburger, or a snack for hungry kids.
