When this was posted, I was really hoping he would join the conversation, but I guess he decided to “go with the flow.” In the post, James says, “I’m so glad that you can see yourself as anyone else.” I totally get that. I’m really glad he can see himself the way he sees the world, and that it’s OK to be a fan of X, Y, and Z.
He’s not a fan of anyone. His only fans are those who are into him.
I think James is a fan of the same things that I am. He’s a fan of movies, music, video games, and art. He’s also a fan of Star Wars, but not as much as I am. He likes to argue the merits of video games, and has a habit of calling video games “crap.” He’s a fan of the “nerdcore” movement, as well as his own.
James has been around for a while now and has a lot of fans. But not nearly as many as I do. I actually have a fan club for him. I’ve actually been known to go to his shows because I know I’ve seen him on stage before. I know there are actually some people who know my name. And I think that’s cool.
The guy with the big beard, the guy with the glasses, the guy in the tie, and the guy who has the guitar in his hand. Thats james charles fans, and thats what we are.

They don’t tend to be the type of people who like to get together and drink and socialize with one another. People who are fans of james charles but not james charles are fans of james charles, and then there are the “james charles fans” who identify themselves as james charles fans and are not fans of james charles.
